Capt. Patrick Yates Adams
Married with four children, my wife and I enjoy exploring nature with our family.
I was fortunate enough to be raised on the water, and boating has always been a significant part of my life. I was fishing and sailing St. Andrews Bay from a very early age, just about every day (weather and parents permitting). I raced one-design sailboats and cruisers for our local yacht club and eventually taught youth sailing lessons there as well. If I wasn't sailing, I was stalking the flats in the bay or cruising offshore in the Gulf hunting fish.
I received my bachelor's degree in Social Science from Florida State University and my pilot’s license and flight training from Alabama Aviation & Technical College. I am also a graduate of Chapman School of Seamanship’s course on Yacht & Small Craft Survey. I am a former All-Lines Adjuster, a USCG 50 ton Master Captain, and I hold ABYC Technical Certification in Marine System. With experience as the foreman in a local boatyard, I gained a familiarity with many vessels and their varied systems, and therefore have developed an eye for spotting potential problems.
I will ensure a thorough, accurate survey of your vessel, and I appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
